Mauro Fantin was born in 1961 in Treviso.
He was attracted by electronics since his first school age, and he got amateur radio operator license (IZ3HRM) when he was 14. Next he got a level certificate at the technical college "M. Planck".
Mauro started his professional career as electronic designer in photographic laboratories automation area and next as designer of automatic tool machines.
During this experience (1989), Mauro found his first company: Industrial Controls S.p.A., specialized in manufacturing processes automation equipments.
In 1993 he found Telsey to satisfy his passion for telecommunications. In few years Telsey become a market leader, contributing to the birth of early "full IP" networks.
In 2001 in Milan, he was awarded with "Adriano Olivetti" international prize for the innovation in the Information & Communication Technology market.
The international board, presided by the Nobel Prize Arno Penzias, decided to award Mauro Fantin "to acknowledgment of his business ventures, realized with the creation of a manufacturer company of devices for transmission and the media communications, demonstrating himself to be able to contend the challenges of the market and exceeding the obstacles connected to the limited availability to resources".
In 2002, with a new team, he found Visionee.
The name of the new company contains the visionary vocation of Mauro and his founders partners.
Visionee was awarded with Regional Innovation Prize.
Initially Visionee was designing optical devices for documents management, and, after the startup phase, equipments for Next Generation Networks and New Media.
Mauro is member of Equiliber, a no-profit association to give people a better information about consequences of technological and economic development.
